The Fantaisie fuguee sur Regina caeli by the French organist and composer Dani el Roth (b. 1942) processes the entire musical text of the Regina caeli, the a ntiphon in the sixth tone in honour of the Virgin Mary, sung at service during the Compline on Holy Saturday until Friday after Pentecost. As regards the org an sound, this piece was written in memory of the grand organ by E. A. Roethin ger in Erstein and its first organist Victor Dusch. The people of this small A lsatian village south of Strasburg are rightly proud of their historic organ f rom 1914 in which French and German elements are combined in harmony.
